Abstract: The early development of the child for the modern parent becomes the norm of life, the rejection of which can cost the adult condemnation and censure from the immediate environment. There is a natural growth of expectations, fears and anxiety about the correctness of the educational strategy, self-assessment as a parent. In this regard, the study of factors contributing to the desire of parents to facilitate the development of children becomes particularly relevant. The aim of the study is a comparative study of the psychological characteristics of parents focused on the early development of children and parents who do not share the ideas of early development of children. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the General scientific system approach, the theory of relations. Myasishchev and cultural-historical theory of child development, the concept of a systematic approach to the study of family and family relations and the subjective formation of the parent. As a result of the study, the features of parents focused on early development, which affect the personality of the parent, parent-child interaction, educational strategies are associated with psychopathological symptoms that reflect the level of psychological distress. In the absence of significant differences in the level of severity of symptoms of the neurotic register and features of life orientations in these categories of parents, there are significant differences in the style features of the child's upbringing. At the same time, the most significant difficulties in education are experienced by parents who are not focused on earlier development.
