Abstract: Authors reviewed aspects of the phenomenon of vitality in theory «hardiness» in humanistic philosophy and psychology as an existential human need; generalized the components of the ability to resilience and socially significant personality traits associated with its self-development in situations coping with problems and stress; offered by the theoretical model of a positive resilience strategy «hardiness» based on data from a survey of high school students for its use in the educational process (existential approach). The philosophical and psychological-pedagogical foundations of the model of the value-positive strategy of the person's viable behavior in a continuous process of self-improvement are presented, in line with the ideas of general scientific existential and axiological approaches; proposed a theoretical model of a positive resilience strategy and its mechanism for constructing an “own” way of being as a facilitative pedagogical tool for developing the ability of a subject to withstand life difficulties and stresses, to have a positive impact on students' activity in educational and professional activities, to apply this matrix of properties and model resilience strategies in vocational education in the course “Life Safety”.
