Abstract: The article is devoted to implementation of the teaching method of Japanese language to students of the linguistic university of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the purpose of the teaching method is developing foreign language communicative competence as the main component of the professional competence of a specialist-philologist. The author conducted a review of theoretical works, analysis of the practice of Russian universities and normative documents of higher education, as a result the author comes to conclusion there is a contradiction at the socio-pedagogical level: between the social order for specialists with knowledge of the Japanese language and the lack of teaching methods taking into account the characteristics of a certain category of students studying in the North-East of the Russian Federation, which required the development of teaching method of the Japanese language based on the characteristics and difficulties of students of the linguistic university from among the indigenous people of the Russia. The implementation of this teaching method of the Japanese language was carried out by the author in the course of experimental work at the North-Eastern Federal University. The author of the article considers the pedagogical conditions promoting the development of foreign language communicative competence of the students studying Japanese to be: the development of foreign language communicative competence on the basis of socio-cultural, ethno-cultural and hermeneutic approaches that ensure the effectiveness of its development in the conditions of the linguistic university to meet the educational needs of the region; the creation of a foreign language environment aimed at the development of students' professional competencies; the release of teaching method taking into account the ethno-psychological characteristics of students and the difficulties encountered by students in the study of the Japanese language aimed at the development of foreign language communicative competence for future professional activities. The author describes the implementation of these pedagogical conditions in the course of experimental work and convincingly proves the validity of the teaching method of the Japanese language taking into account the peculiarities and difficulties of the students of the linguistic university from among the indigenous inhabitants of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
