Abstract: The article shows the contradiction between the state’s interest in the topic of motherhood and the ongoing demographic crisis, which makes it necessary to take into account the psychological component of motherhood. The purpose of the article – to model the psychological and pedagogical support of the process of forming psychological readiness for motherhood. The methodology includes theories that consider motherhood (G. G. Filippova, E. V. Matveeva) analysis and generalization of works of teachers and psychologists in the field of psychological and pedagogical support. The interpretation of the results obtained by correlation (using the Pearson method) and factor analysis of the survey data of 156 pregnant women for psychological readiness for motherhood is given. The author’s vision of the concepts of “psychological readiness for motherhood” and “psychological and pedagogical support” is presented. The model of psychological and pedagogical support of the process of forming psychological readiness for motherhood and its theoretical and methodological justification are proposed. The subjects, stages and methods of support are indicated. For each stage, tasks and a set of activities within the framework of pedagogical and psychological components of support are defined. Practicing teachers and psychologists can use the proposed program of work with girls, girls, and women. Conclusions are drawn about the desirability of supplementing the program with social and medical support.
