Abstract: The article deals with both teaching translation and written speech as essential to successful training of medical students in the sphere of professional communication. A necessity to translate from a foreign language into a native one and from a native language into a foreign one, an ability to respond rapidly calls for a new solution to gain knowledge quickly. It was found out, that the majority of students face with challenges while writing texts in English language and even in a native one. Proficiency in written speech activity in a foreign language allows to the future medical translator become a full-fledged member of the globe. We used theoretical (literature studying, analysis and data processing) and empirical methods (observation the students during the practical classes, questionnaire and study of the obtained outcomes). The experiment was conducted at Ryazan State Medical University and concluded in 3 stages. The data obtained showed that students are highly interested in translation learning alongside with resume, summary, article and abstract writing. An experimental group showed improving skills both in compressing form a foreign language into Russian and from Russian language into a foreign one. Therefore, following the proposed tasks helps to improve skills in summarizing texts, to develop perception and comprehension of foreign speech, to analyze and conceptualize read when two diverse speech activities, modes of speech and translation, develop each other.
